Dear America

Dear America,

I’d like to discuss our future- the children of America . As a mother of two wonderful kids, who was blessed with one boy and one girl, I see the precious gift in my children. When I look at my children, I can actually see God’s work (at least when they are asleep).

That’s a wonderful topic, but I’d rather discuss the children of America :

Apparently America spoke loudly in the elections to say “Me, me, me, me, me, me! Who gives a crap about the babies [(and soon enough handicapped children, the elderly, the infirmed, etc.)] being brutally murdered against their will and against God’s will... Obama promised to tax rich people and distribute the money to me, me, me and he also promised me, me, me- free things like healthcare. Who gives a crap if I never bothered to do an honest days work? The doctors and nurses, who spent years and years in school; then worked 70 hour weeks, don’t deserve what they have. Give it to me, me, me!” Hold on! I was discussing the adults of America. I get a bit confused due to the me, me, me’s.

Here goes: The children of America are our future (assuming that Obama is not the Anti-Christ and Jesus won’t be back shortly). This is what the majority of our future looks like: “Mine, mine, mine, mine!” However, as Christians we still have a responsibility to those children. Jesus makes it clear to us, just how seriously he takes it when ANYBODY causes one of those children to sin. So to protect our future and our souls, we must work on these children to try to change their attitudes and lives. Put away the wooden spoons and belts! That’s not what I mean.

We need to show them disciplined kindness through our examples. If you know of a child without a coat in the winter, find a way to get them a coat. If their parents sell it for a $5 bag of crack, buy them another one and don’t be afraid to tell them why. Don’t be afraid to let the Lord’s light shine through you!

That is but one example of the impact we could make on this world! I know this! I was not a poor child, but I was an abused child. I was also brought up by an atheist father. The majority of people who were Christians just avoided telling me about Christ. They also minded their own business when it came to my abuse and just avoided allowing their children around me, because of it. What message do you think I learned about God’s grace and mercy from those “ Christians”?

I sincerely believe that this is what is wrong with the world today and why Christians are looked down on. In general- we show no mercy; we show no love, except to our own. Those who already know Christ may need a refresher course now and then, but it is the sinners and their children we must get the message out to. I know that there are at least enough people who claim to be Christians (def. -Like Christ) in this nation that I shouldn’t see so many children suffering. If you don’t have the money to go out and buy a $40 coat, there is Goodwill, garage sales and many discount stores that disprove that claim; even if you can’t afford your next pack of cigarettes.

Too many of us see God as a father to go to when we need something. How about giving back to the Father by showing His grace with the world? Don’t mistake this with an invitation to become a part of the world! We MUST separate ourselves from the things of the world. People do respond to kindness! Love is the only tool to save the world from its narcissism. It is about time we start!

If you don’t have any children or any living around you, you can call the local school nurse and ask if there are any needs the children have. Then you can at least try to fulfill them. If you must donate a coat anonymously, you can slip a note in the pocket to tell the child “You received this coat because Jesus LOVES you. Never forget it!” You can even go to the local Christian store and by a pocket sized New Testament for $5 (or less) and put it in the pocket. A box or bag of groceries goes a long way too. Just remember that the Mother or Father (or both) who will likely eat from it would be hungry in the spirit also. Feed them!

When Jesus let us know not to be concerned with clothing or food, because God will provide; you should realize that you may be the one he is providing through. So, how many are we leaving without? I don’t know if ANYBODY in my email group needs this message, but understand that somebody does and our email can be a vessel for that... I KNOW each Christian who receives this, knows somebody who needs reminded. But send it to those who don’t also. They certainly know somebody who needs reminded. If you are afraid to offend somebody, you are a part of the problem!

Christians: Stop adding to the world’s greed! Show them it is NOT necessary. You may be the answer to a prayer that they never thought would be answered. That can be the turning point in the lives of any person, no matter how far they have fallen from grace.

May God bless you abundantly and may you use it to bless others!

1992 all over again

1992 all over again

Every president in history has spoken somewhere or to someone that shocks us all. We don't know why they do it. Maybe some campaign manager was misguided and thinks it's a good idea? Every president has done something that would make us sick, EVEN Reagan. Many of Reagan’s mistakes, like immigration, are the same mistakes McCain has made. McCain is still a war hero and basically he does things with a conscience. Reagan left the economy a mess, due to things like the star wars program. You never hear about that. The reason you don't is likely because he was charismatic, just like Bill Clinton and the left never comments on Clinton's mistakes.

What scares me and makes me want to cry is that most of the GOP is just trading McCain insults in groups like this and NOT writing these things to him, with a warning that what is happening now is almost identical to what happened to Bush 1, when Clinton won. McCain is a good person and will do his best to please the right, if a large majority bothers to let him know directly what makes them unhappy.

In the Bush1 generation, the right became too righteous and jumped on the Perot or Robertson bandwagon, in lieu of Newt's complaints, totally ignoring what good Bush did: fixing the economic crisis DESPITE the Democrat majority in the houses (Clinton jumped in and milked our military for money. Then took credit for balancing the budget); Bush ended the cold war; Facilitated the fall of the Berlin wall (Reagan got credit for both. He started the ball rolling, but a Democrat would have popped it); Bush liberated Kuwait from Iraq, with nearly no casualties, etc... The same is happening with McCain right now. That 1992 mistake predisposed us to 9/11, because our military was virtually non-existent and Clinton let Osama go.

McCain is being ripped to shreds, just like Bush 1 was and many of the things he is being bullied for are things that Reagan did too. He has powerful people beating him to death and quite honestly I think he's the ONLY one of the presidential candidates that had even a modicum of a chance of a large enough majority to beat the Democrats in 2008.

Think back! We are on the same road. As a matter of fact, right now with Bush's low approval rating, THE ONLY way of winning this is by winning the fence sitters, Reagan Democrats and getting near 100% of the GOP vote. We have multitudes of new voters being wooed by the left successfully.

No matter what McCain does or has done it will not even be close to what we will have in store for us if we get the Muslim or the wicked witch.

PLEASE- Good or Bad, disconcerted or enchanted, no matter how you feel about McCain, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come together, fight for him and spread the positive, unless you really truly think we can make it through 4 years of a Democrat. THAT IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN if the negative keeps spreading. Also, pray for our GOP daily. If enough people bother, it will help.

God Bless!

If you do better with analogies: I was not a big fan of Bush 1, but I saw it as somebody I could tolerate. He wasn’t terrible, just not perfect. I looked at him as if a relative I was close to was dating somebody who wasn’t good enough for them and I knew they’d eventually break up and meet a better, more suited person to date. You know that when somebody you care about is dating somebody you aren’t fond of, it doesn’t help matters to belittle them, especially making them sound worse than they are. It definitely doesn’t help to have an entire family of self-righteous people, whose decisions are likely no better than the person they are cutting down, belittling them terribly. That person may just surprise you, if you don’t build them as a tyrant in your mind and belittle them to a point of no return. The results of that are typically causing unnecessary problems and often that relative will rebel and end up in a long term relationship with a very bad person. Our favorite relative: Lady Liberty has 3 potential suitors and our negativity can make the best possibility into an impossibility. With a long term relationship with one of the other two, Lady Liberty may just fall apart and never end up in a good relationship. Encourage her best suitor to be a better person and he may just surprise you and be the best one ever.
